Kojo Description

KOJO was formed to create a blend of CARIBBEAN Music: Calypso, Soca, Reggae, Ska, Dancehall, French Music Cadass, Cajun, La Comet, Candance, Some Latin sounds R&B, Rock & POP. The Members are from the islands of St Lucia, Jamaica, and Milwaukee. KOJO has been nominated several times by the WAMI. Board (Wis. Area Music Industry). KOJO has won several W.A.M.I.'s for best Reggae and Ska and authentic Group in Wisconsin. KOJO has played in major night clubs and festivals in Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. e.g. Summerfest, Bastile Days, Harborfest, Riverfest, Lakefront Festival, Cajunfest, Chicago Lakefront, The Wild Hare, Casinos: Ho Chunk, Oneida, Belle Isle. We have also played for many private functions such as: Co-operate functions, Weddings, Golf Clubs and the Jamaica Tourist Board Promotions. The Band has opened concert shows for such artist as Jimmy Cliff, Third World, Yellow Man, Ziggy Marley's Melody Makers, Judy Mowatt, Buckwheat, and The Neville Brothers. KOJO has released three CD's and would gladly love to play at your next party, Private or Co-operate function.
